Description
Nottingham Trent University is inviting applications for 75 Fully-funded PhD Studentships. These studentships are open to international students to pursue PhD degree programme for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Scholarships are offered in diverse fields within School of Animal, Rural and Environmental Science, School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, School of Art & Design, School of Arts and Humanities, Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Law School, School of Science and Technology and School of Social Sciences to help students in upgrading their education.
Eligibility
Applicants must hold (or expect to obtain by 1st October 2017) a Masters qualification or a 1st Class/2.1 Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area (including, where appropriate, training in the relevant research methods and, where relevant, laboratory experience). For applicants holding a 2.2 at Bachelor’s degree this must be supported by a Masters at “Merit” level as an additional qualification;
Only available for new applicants, existing PhD students are not eligible to apply;
Applications can be accepted from UK/EU and International students. The minimum English language proficiency requirement for candidates who have not undertaken a higher degree at a UK HE institution is IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all skills).
Scholarship
Up to 75 fully funded PhD studentships for 2017 entry. This studentship competition is open to applicants who wish to study for a PhD on a full-time basis only. The studentship will pay UK/EU fees (currently set at £4,121 for 2016/17 and are revised annually) and provide a maintenance stipend linked to the RCUK rate (this is revised annually and is currently £14,296 for academic year 2016/17) for up to three years. The studentships will be expected to commence in 2017.

DIGITALEUROPE is looking for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and service-oriented recent graduate to join our public affairs team in Brussels with a focus on sustainability issues.

Main functions of the job
Early warning, intelligence and EU policy analysis;
Produce high quality deliverables for members, including meeting minutes, plans of action, briefings newsletters and content for the web, social media and wider communication;

Traineeship FCH JU - Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking

The Fuel Cell and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking (FCH 2 JU) operates a traineeship programme. The programme gives trainees an understanding of the FCH 2 JU and its role within the activities of the European Union, enables them to acquire practical knowledge of the FCH 2 JU and its regulatory framework and to obtain professional experience in the course of their work.
The trainee will have an opportunity to:
Work in a multicultural and multilingual environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance;
Put into practice knowledge acquired during their studies, particularly in their specific areas of competence;
Experience the professional life and its constraints, duties and opportunities;
Acquire practical experience and knowledge of the day-to-day work of an EU organisation in an international environment.
Successful candidates will have an academic background in economics, political science, engineering, technical studies such as environmental or energy studies or similar. Knowledge of the fuel cells and hydrogen technologies will be considered as an advantage.
They will also have some professional or training experience in project management, administration, EU affairs (e.g. communication, IT, legal affairs, internal audit, finance, office management), acquired either in a public administration/academic institution or in the private sector.
Trainees are selected from nationals of the Member States of the European Economic Area (the 28 Member States of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway).
Minimum Requirements:
Possession of a university degree or equivalent at the time of applying;
An excellent command of oral and written English and one or more other official Union languages (French and/or German advantageous);
Very good interpersonal, communication and team skills.
Grant:
The FCH 2 JU pays a monthly grant of EUR 1,122.40 net and may pay a travel allowance to compensate the expenses incurred at the beginning and at the end of the traineeship from the place of residence, which is normally the address provided for correspondence. UAE Government IRENA Scholarship Programme

Description
The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) is now accepting applications for IRENA scholarship programme available for international students. The IRENA scholarship programme offers various opportunities in addition to the Masdar Institute Scholarship. These include exclusive high-level lectures, aimed at presenting the latest developments in the field of renewable energies. Furthermore, the scholarship programme offers: IRENA sponsored short term assignments to scholars on a case by case basis; opportunities for participation in IRENA events; internships; and most importantly, the opportunity to network.
Scholarship students received one of eight Master of Science Programmes: Chemical Engineering, Computing and Information Science, Electrical Power Engineering, Engineering Systems and Management, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Microsystems Engineering, Water and Environmental Engineering and Sustainable Critical Infrastructure offered at MASDAR Institute.

Fully-Funded Master Scholarships at Mälardalen University in Sweden, 2017-2018

Mälardalen University is offering fully-funded master scholarships for the academic year 2017-2018. These scholarships are open to international students and cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme.
The scholarship is aimed at especially qualified students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland and who are required to pay tuition fees.
Mälardalen University (abbreviated MDH) is one of Sweden’s large institutes of higher education. The University has over 14,000 students studying our 52 programmes and 1,000 courses, and almost 900 faculty and staff. MDH is characterised by close partnerships with businesses and the public sector in the region, making their University attractive to students – and students attractive on the labour market.
International master’s programmes are taught in English in Sweden. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English in order to meet the entry requirements.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing masters programme.
Study Subject(s): The programmes cover a variety of subject areas and are strongly interrelated with the research environments of the university
Scholarship Award: The scholarship will cover 100% of the tuition fee of the programme as long as you follow the normal study plan (minimum 22.5 credits/semester, minimum 45 credits/academic year). The scholarship does not cover living expenses. If your status from being a fee-paying student to a non-paying student is changed during the study period of the programme you will no longer be granted the scholarship.

Eligibility: To be admitted to courses and study programmes at first-cycle or secondcycle level, the applicant is required to have general entry requirements and furthermore any specific entry requirements that may be prescribed.
Nationality: Students coming from countries outside of EU/EEA/Switzerland are eligible to apply. The scholarship is not open for students from the twelve countries with which Sweden has long-term development cooperation (Bangladesh, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia). College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirement:
A completed Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university
Postgraduate work experience. On average, students in full-time MBA program have five years of work experience, ranging between three and twelve years. However, more important than the length of your experience is the quality of your accomplishments. If you can demonstrate an exceptional maturity and your potential as a leader, we encourage you to apply. It is important that you assess your readiness when deciding to apply for an MBA: there is no universal “right” time.
GMAT/GRE & TOEFL/IELTS
Test Requirement: The GMAT test is mandatory for the Full-time MBA applicants. Alternatively, HHL can accept the GRE test. Institute’s GMAT code is ZCB-P6-01.
English Language Requirement: Sufficient English knowledge has to be shown via the TOEFL. Applicant should have to present a valid score before the start of studies at HHL. A minimum score is not demanding but a score of 98 points ibt is recommended. HHL accepts the IELTS in lieu of a TOEFL score. They should aim at an overall band score of 7.0 for the IELTS test.

15 Overseas Research Scholarships at Newcastle University in UK, 2017-2018

Newcastle University is offering 15 overseas research scholarships in 2017-18 academic year. Tuition fee scholarships of typically £7,800 – £11,700 per year. The award covers the difference between fees for UK/EU students and international students.
Newcastle University’s aim is to be a world-class research-intensive university and deliver teaching and facilitate learning of the highest quality.
The university is governed by a number of statutory bodies. The Executive Board comprises the senior management team that has oversight of the day-to-day running of the University.

Applicants have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes, and are wholly or partially self-financing. Applicants need a good level of English language to study at Newcastle University. They’ll need to provide a recognised English language test or qualification unless you’re exempt. This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.

The opportunity
The newly established Naspers Public Policy team is looking for a motivated intern to support our public policy work.  The successful candidate will be a part of a small and dynamic team, helping to build a new function and working on the company’s public policy priorities at the local, regional and global level.
Job description
Reporting to the Head of Public Policy, the Public Policy Intern will support the Naspers group in a variety of ways, including:
Production and distribution of reports for the business leadership on policy and legislative developments globally;
Preparation and follow-up of internal meetings;
Production, presentation, and distribution of external communication materials on relevant policy and legislative topics;
Representation of the company in meetings with trade associations, policy makers and legislators;
Creative thinking.
The position will be based in Brussels, but frequent travel will be required, especially to Amsterdam.
The length of the internship is 12 months and remuneration will be competitive for the profile. Preferred start date is December 1st 2016.
Profile
The successful candidate will:

Possess strong oral & written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills;
Be a native speaker or equivalent of an Asian language – ideally Mandarin or Hindi – or of Spanish;

Experience of working in International/European/national politics, public policy/public affairs and/or policy-focused communications is an advantage;

25 Chancellor’s International Scholarships at University of Sussex in UK, 2017

The University of Sussex offers 25 scholarships to international students for postgraduate (taught) degree program. Scholarships are available for International (Non-UK/EU) students.
This scholarship aims to assist high achieving and highly motivated international research scholars at the University of Sussex.
The University of Sussex is a leading higher education and research institution near Brighton, in the south of England. Sussex was the first of the new wave of UK universities founded in the 1960s, receiving its Royal Charter in 1961. The goal is to deliver teaching and learning programmes that are informed by current research, are attractive to students from all socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds, and which deliver skills for life.
Applicants must meet the University’s academic entry requirements and the IELTS English Language Requirements contained in the postgraduate prospectus. If their first language is not English, they will normally be required to pass an English language test, such as IELTS or PTE, to study at Sussex.
