Eiffel Excellence Scholarships for Master and PhD Program in France

Each year, applications for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarships are invited. Eligible candidates should overseas or non -French students. He or she must be planning to undertake master or doctoral degree in French universities. This Eiffel Scholarships cover all of the related cost during the study period. To apply, entries must be received by 8 January 2016.
Scholarship Description
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enrol in their master’s and PhD courses. The scholarship programme funds master’s courses lasting between 12 and 36 months and offers funding for PhD students to spend ten months in France through joint supervision or dual enrolment.
Award Value
For Master’s level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,181 (a maintenance allowance of €1,031 and a monthly stipend of €150). For PhD level studies, the Eiffel scholarship includes a monthly allowance of €1,400.
In addition, the programme meets various expenses including international return trip, social security cover, and cultural activities. Scholarship holders may also receive an additional housing allowance, under certain conditions.
Tuition fees are not covered by the Eiffel Programme.

Eligibility and Criteria
Nationality: This programme is reserved for candidates of non-French nationality. Candidates with two nationalities, one of which is French, are not eligible.
Age : For master’s courses, candidates must be no older than 30 on the date of the selection committee meeting, i.e. born after 07/03/1985; at PhD level, candidates must be no older than 35 on the date of the selection committee meeting, i.e. born after 07/03/1980.
Origin of applications : Only applications submitted by French educational establishments are accepted. These establishments undertake to enrol scholarship holders on the course for which they have been selected. Applications submitted by any other means shall not be considered. Furthermore, any candidate nominated by more than one establishment shall be disqualified.
Courses of study: Scholarships are for students wishing to enrol on a master’s course, including at an engineering school, and for PhD students. The Eiffel Programme does not applyto French-run master’s courses abroad, as non-PhD scholarship holders must complete at least 75% of their course in France. It does not apply to training under an apprenticeship contract or a professional training contract either.
Combination with other scholarships: Foreign students who, at the time of application, have already been awarded a French government scholarship under another programme are not eligible, even if the scholarship in question does not include social security cover.
For Eiffel PhD Scholarship: Establishments may nominate a candidate who was previously awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level for a scholarship at PhD level. Candidates who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship once during their PhD cannot be awarded it for a second time. No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study.
For Eiffel Master Scholarship: No application will be accepted for any student who applied previously but was rejected, even if the application is submitted by a different establishment or in another field of study. Students who have already been awarded an Eiffel scholarship at master’s level are not eligible to re-apply at master’s level.
Language level: When pre-selecting non-French-speaking candidates, establishments must make sure that their language skills meet the requirements of the relevant course of study.

Competition/Antitrust Intern/Trainee

Description
Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, a preeminent international law firm, has an immediateopening for a legal intern/trainee in its competition practice in Brussels to assist in particular with work on several ongoing cartel cases.

Applicants should be English native speakers or be able to demonstrate native-level written and spoken English during the interview process.

Candidates should have finished their first (undergraduate) law degree and have completed an LL.M. Preference will be given to applicants who are already admitted to practice in an EU country. Work experience as a stagiaire in DG COMP at the European Commission, in an EU Member State competition authority, or in the European competition practice of an international law firm, as well as a strong academic focus on competition law is highly desirable. Hand-on experience in EU cartel cases would be a definite plus.

The successful candidate will be engaged as an intern on a six-month, fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal. The position is available now.

Cadwalader’s Brussels office provides leading advice on all aspects of EU law and policy. Our focus in particular is on antitrust: merger clearances, market dominance, cartel defense and state aid, spanning a wide range of industry sectors. What does it cover? The scholarships will include:
-monthly scholarship instalment: 940 EUR
-accident and health insurance: if necessary, the OeAD (Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research) will effect an accident and health insurance. The costs for the insurance have to be covered from the scholarship.
-The OeAD provides scholarship holders with accommodation (student dormitory or apartment). Monthly costs: 220 to 470 EUR (depending on the level of comfort requested by the scholarship holder). The scholarship holder has to pay an administrative fee of 18 EUR/month to the OeAD for the provision of accommodation. The costs for the accommodation have to be covered from the scholarship.
-Applicants from countries which are neither members of the EU nor members of EFTA, EEA or OECD can be granted a travel allowance of up to max. 500 EUR in addition to the scholarship.

Coca Cola Company Paid Internship

The Collegiate Chapters Council (CCC) of the American Marketing Association announces the search for the Coca-Cola Company Global Marketing & Commercial Leadership Intern. A minimum of 2 Internships will be available with the potential for more based on global demand. (Atlanta, Mexico City, London, Madrid, Berlin, Singapore, Hong Kong, among other possibilities based on residency). Internships will be 10-12 weeks, from mid-May 2016 to mid-August 2016, depending on Intern’s school calendar.

Lund University Global Scholarship Programme in Sweden, 2016

Applications are invited for Lund University Global Scholarship available for the citizens of a country from outside the EU/EEA (and Switzerland). Students must have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s level studies for a minimum of one semester of study (30 ECTS). Scholarship grants may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or up to 100% of the tuition fee. It has no reflection on the students’ academic level of excellence. Please note that scholarships are toward tuition fees only and that living costs are not covered. Selection Criteria: The selection process for scholarships is undertaken in parallel with the programme/course selection process. Priority will be given to students with high academic performance, who are assessed as a good fit for the programme and who demonstrate a strong commitment and desire to study at Lund University. As the scholarship is merit-based only, no consideration is taken of the students’ financial needs in the selection process.

How to Apply: -To apply for a Lund University Global Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme(s) or free-standing course(s) you wish to study at Lund University using the online, national application website, during the application period. Once you have made a complete application to a degree programme or free-standing courses of at least 30 ECTS credits and paid the application fee, you will receive information about how to apply for the scholarship. For autumn 2016 studies, this will be communicated to applicants after the application period to their programmes is over, i.e. in early February.
-As part of this online application, you need to upload your scholarship ‘motivation letter’ (maximum 600 words). Please note that the scholarship “motivation letter” is different from any statement of purpose you may be required to submit as part of your programme application documents.  Your scholarship personal “motivation letter” should explain why your academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you an appropriate recipient for a Lund University Global Scholarship.
-You can only apply for one Lund University Global Scholarship per programme or free-standing course. However, it is still possible for you to apply to other scholarships, such as (for example) the Swedish Institute scholarships.

Maastricht University High Potential Scholarships for International Students in Netherlands, 2016

Maastricht University high potential scholarships are available for international students from outside the EU/EEA countries. Scholarships are awarded to students for pursuing master’s and graduate programme. Scholarship is granted for the duration a maximum of 12 months. In case of a two-year Master’s programme the scholarship committee will award the scholarship for a maximum of 24 months. The closing date for applications is February 1st 2016.

Eligibility:
-Applicants must be admissible for a master’s programme or graduate programme for professionals at Maastricht University and must not be older than 35 years at the start of the academic year. They may apply simultaneously for a master’s programme and this scholarship. An additional requirement for the Master Psychology: they must be ranked in the top 5 %. This must be proved by an official statement of the University.
-Scholarship applicants must have obtained excellent results in their previous studies. This must be shown in the application file by including, for example, grade lists or reference letters. In case of equivalent qualification, preference will be given to applications, which show that the applicant is among the top 5%.
-Applicants must come from a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands.
