Project Assistant Intern

BUSINESS & STRATEGIES IN EUROPE S.A. is an international consulting firm based in Brussels since 1991 and member of the GOPA group. Our company provides advice for technical assistance projects in developing and transition countries, particularly to Public and Governmental Institutions. Our main fields of expertise are Institutional Reform and Capacity Building, in areas such as Justice and Home Affairs, Regional and Local Development and Security.
B&S Europe has managed projects in more than 100 countries worldwide and has a long standing involvement with clients including international donor agencies, particularly with the European Commission, National Governments and their agencies.
B&S also has permanent offices in Brussels, Pristina and Bucharest representative offices in more than 20 countries. The company employs more than 30 full time staff and relies on a trustworthy and well experienced network of in-house and external experts to carry out the implementation of projects.

Job Purpose
In order to contribute to its international expansion, B&S Europe is seeking for five Project Assistants to join our various departments :
ACP (Africa, Caribbean and Pacific) Department : 2 interns
Balkans, Asia & MENA Department : 1 intern
Event & Communication Department : 1 intern
Latin America and ENPI East Department : 1 intern
Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers in daily tasks including:
Working on Europe Aid requests for FWC projects;
Searching for experts through the B&S Europe database and/or local partners to participate in projects;
Preparation of technical offer (constitution of the expert team; support in the writing of technical offer);
Follow-up and daily management of development projects: mobilization of short term expertise, administrative management etc.;
Researching and expanding our network of local partners and experts;
Participating in the development of creative and efficient project management.
Updating and improving IT system, database;
Proposal:

Field missions in some of the countries where Projects are implemented;
Qualifications and profile:
Recent graduate or advanced student in Economics, Law, Public Administration, Social or Political Sciences or similar;
Proved interest in the cooperation and development field;
Ability to interact with people and establish good relationships;
Perfect oral and drafting skills in English and French; Native Spanish for the Latin America & ENPI East department
Capacity to work within a team;
Capacity for independent decision-making and taking initiative;
Computer skills MS Office (Excel Word Power Point), Internet, and database;
Dynamic, good capacity of relationship and interaction with people high level of commitment and integrity and demonstrating a willingness to work in Brussels for long term.
Conditions
Please note that an internship agreement with a University or any other institutions is required. This is a full time position for a period of 6 months, starting 6th July 2015, in Brussels; internship allowance is 600€ per month.
