GCAP Internship

GCAP is a global civil society movement calling for an end to poverty and inequality.
With National Coalitions and Constituency Groups in more than eighty countries across the world, this southern-led movement works to challenge the institutions and processes that perpetuate poverty and inequality across the world, to defend and promote human rights, gender justice, social justice and security needed for survival and peace.

Context
As governments negotiate the international framework for a post-2015 agenda: Sustainable Development Goals (New York, September 2015), a binding climate change agreement (Paris, December 2015) and a financial framework to fund both (Addis Ababa, July 2015), GCAP constituents have organized consultations and are mobilizing under the banners of the Global Moves for Justice and the action/2015 campaign.

For the first time ever, in 2015, the European Year is dedicated to a global topic: development cooperation.  In this context, GCAP European office works on raising the role of the EU and its citizens in securing ambitious agreements for people and the planet in Addis Ababa, New York and Paris.

As the campaign gains momentum, GCAP is opening a 6 months internship/trainee position to support the European coordination of the movement.
