Communications Intern (Student Status) Eurosif aisbl

EUROSIF, the European Sustainable Investment Forum, is the leading European sustainable investment membership association whose mission is to develop sustainability across European financial markets. Eurosif works as a partnership of national Sustainable Investment Forums with the support of a broad range of member affiliates from the industry and related services. These include asset managers, ESG rating agencies, research and investment service providers and NGO’s. The main activities of Eurosif are public policy, research and promotion of Sustainable Investment.
Your main tasks will involve:
Communications and Marketing support (80-90% of time)
The role is to assist the Communications Executive of Eurosif. This will involve:
Maintain and update as databases of internal & external audiences
Contribute to social media strategy and communication metrics
Assisting in the production of online and/or print publications (newsletters, reports )
Updating Eurosif’s website
Communicating with external and internal stakeholders, including Member Affiliates
Other ad-hoc communications projects and duties
Organisation and participation to webinars
Administration (10-20% of time) 
Contribute to ad-hoc tasks related to office administration:
Support with event management and logistics;
Sourcing and buying office supplies
Preparing briefing materials for meetings
Requirements:
Essential
Enrolled to university and studying towards the completion of a degree (preferably in Communications, International political economy, EU studies);
Excellent English language communication skills, written and spoken;
Good working knowledge of standard office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel);
Ability to proofread with strong attention to detail;
Desirable
Previous experience in communications, journalism or online communications
Experience in website editing and/or writing on-line articles, blogs, and/or be familiar with online social communities;
Project Management experience especially related to events or publishing;
Personal attributes:
Structured, very well-organised, able to multi-task;
Flexibility in undertaking a workload within tight deadlines;
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously with a sense of initiative;
A positive and ‘can do’ attitude, self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision
Experience or interest in Sustainability and/or Corporate Social Responsibility desirable.

Date: 6 months, starting in 6 July 2015

Selection Process: Once Eurosif collects eligible applications, it will move on to short-listing until 8 May. Selected candidates will be invited for an interview during the weeks 11 – 22 May. Skype interviews will be arranged for candidates living abroad. Candidates shortlisted from interviews will be required to submit a small written contribution on a topic announced at the time.

Please note that this traineeship is addressed to students as part of their education and it is unpaid. A monthly public transport card STIB will be offered (value 49 EUR), as well as potential travel costs to and from Brussels will be covered. Candidates must be registered students currently studying for their Bachelor or Masters Degree at a European University.
