Internship in project management

FEDMA offers an internship (6 months, to start in the course of March 2015) to a current graduate student, ideally in European Research Studies.
University internship agreement is mandatory. Therefore, applicants must be students registered in a University program for the whole duration of the internship.
The internship at FEDMA will allow you to experience the fascinating world of a Federation in the European Union.
The intern will be part of our small, young and dynamic team, while running a research project independently. The successful candidate will manage the update and extension of FEDMA’s most important publication. The Legal Fact Pack is a necessary tool for the Data-Driven Marketing industry, providing an overview of marketing related legislation in Europe and elsewhere. The candidate will run this project independently, including:   
  • Research on marketing and data protection legislations  from EU countries and others
  • Draft sections of the publication
  • Consult directly FEDMA members in various country
  • Edit and finalise the publication
The internship will also include:
  • Monitoring EU legislation (Consumer Affairs and Data Protection) and dossiers on their way through the EU institutions;
  • Writing articles for the newsletter, for the Federation communication with members
  • Represent FEDMA at official events;
  • Prepare membership meetings and support the daily organisation of the Federation.
The FEDMA team will work with the intern to adapt responsibilities according to his/her interests and abilities. FEDMA team commits itself to ensuring that the successful candidate has a great time while working for FEDMA, with plenty of learning opportunities and exposure to “the real deal”. Being a smaller structure, FEDMA will enable the future intern to quickly keep up with daily management reality.
FEDMA will provide a financial compensation. A university agreement is necessary.
Intern profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following profile:
  • Excellent management, research and drafting skills;
  • Excellent written and oral English skill;
  • French is an asset;
  • Excellent ability to work independently, (intern should be able to take lead on his/her files);
  • Excellent eye for detail;
  • Excellent organisational skills, (our association requires multi-tasking);
  • Interested in legal issues relating to the data-driven marketing industry, as well as privacy and consumer protection
  • Knowledge of the direct and interactive marketing industry would be an asset;
  • Creative problem-solving skills;
  • Confident, outgoing and proactive personality;
  • Good sense of humour;
  • Strong IT skills required.

Organisational profile
FEDMA is a Brussels-based trade association, dedicated to promoting, protecting and informing the direct and interactive marketing industry at the pan-European level. Its members are national Direct Marketing Associations (DMAs) and a hundred multinational companies from 44 different countries engaged in direct and interactive marketing activities.
