As a publicly-funded organisation, the Fulbright Awards Programme expects candidates to conduct a thorough university search and to identify institutions and programmes which are a strong fit for their academic, personal and professional goals. As the aim of a Fulbright exchange is to foster cultural understanding between the US and UK, some preference will be given to applicants who do not have extensive (6+ months) experience in the UK. Dual US-UK citizens are eligible to apply in this Award category, however, some preference will be given to those without extensive experience of the UK.
