Projects Intern AmCham Belgium

This internship position is to be filled as of the week of July 14, 2014, full time, for a period of three months, with the possibility of an extension.
1. Intern Profile
The Chamber is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and motivated individual, either studying for a degree, or a recent graduate, to join our team for a six months internship. Requirements include excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French and/or Dutch is considered a definite advantage); familiarity with MS Office applications, Databases (preferably SugarCRM) and content management platforms (preferably Drupal) are a big plus, the ability to work independently and with others, excellent research skills, attention to detail, good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility are a must.
As a member of the team, you will aim to provide our members with high-quality, professional services. Your duties will also involve administrative tasks such as answering member requests by e-mail and telephone which may involve researching information for members. Your ideas and suggestions for improving projects and services will be welcomed and encouraged.

2. Job description
The major duties involve:
o Updating our membership database/CRM system to ensure data integrity/accuracy of information concerning the companies and executives listed.
o Supporting the test track of the newly implemented CRM and provide feedback to the team when needed
o Supporting the execution of the Annual Directory project. The publication is a comprehensive guide of our membership and all US companies in Belgium. This involves research and direct interaction with our members.
o An active role in other ongoing projects as required or where an interest is expressed.
o You will report directly to the Office Coordinator.
In addition to these fixed ongoing projects, a number of diverse tasks may be assigned depending on the intern’s abilities. The Projects Intern is expected to give whatever help needed during busy periods. All his/her tasks are conducted under the overall supervision of the Policy, Finance and Administrative Director.
