2014-2015 ISH-UAL Graduate Scholarships for International Students in UK

University of the Arts London is inviting application for graduate scholarships available for international students. The Scholarship is worth the value of the tuition fees of the course and the value of a single room at International Students House where the student will reside during their studies. The Scholarship also covers meals taken in the ISH restaurant up to the value of £2,000 for the 2014/2015 academic year. The application deadline is 13th June 2014.
About Scholarship: For the 2014/2015 academic year, University of the Arts London and International Students House are offering two joint tuition fee and housing scholarships to international postgraduate students. These scholarships will be awarded to individuals with the ability and potential to make an exceptional contribution to the creative community. We hope the scholarships will enable talented international students from emerging countries to realise their full potential through further study at UAL, who would not otherwise have had the means to do so.
Study: Scholarships are awarded to study MA Public Relations (London College of Communication), MA Digital Theatre (Wimbledon College of Arts), MA Drawing (Wimbledon College of Arts), MA Theatre Design (Wimbledon College of Arts), MFA Fine Art (Wimbledon College of Arts).
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing master program at University of the Arts London in UK.

Eligibility: To be eligible for an ISH/UAL Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:
-be assessed as an ‘international’ student (paying the international fee level)
-hold a course offer for one of the following: MA Public Relations (London College of Communication), MA Digital Theatre (Wimbledon College of Arts), MA Drawing (Wimbledon College of Arts), MA Theatre Design (Wimbledon College of Arts), MFA Fine Art (Wimbledon College of Arts)
-Be an undergraduate student expecting to graduate with a good bachelors degree (with Honours) from a Higher Education institution by 31st July 2014
-Be a graduate, having already gained a good bachelors degree from a Higher Education institution
-Be able to demonstrate substantial equivalent and applicable experience
-Must be willing to be a part of a multi-cultural, diverse student residential community
-Be in financial need

Scholarship Open for: International students can apply for these graduate scholarships.
Number of awards: Two ISH/UAL Graduate Scholarships are offered for the 2014/2015 academic year and are the product of a partnership between International Students House, one of London’s largest residences for international students and the University of the Arts London, one of world’s leading art and design institutions.
Value: The Scholarship is worth the value of the tuition fees of the course and the value of a single room at International Students House where the student will reside during their studies. The Scholarship also covers meals taken in the ISH restaurant up to the value of £2,000 for the 2014/2015 academic year.
Selection Criteria: Applications will be assessed according to merit and financial need by a selected panel of tutors at University of the Arts London and by International Students House. The Panel may request to interview applicants in which case face to face interviews will be held in London. If you cannot attend in person, arrangements will be made for you to be interviewed by video-conference or telephone. Candidates who are selected for interview will be notified of this by telephone and email. The Panel will make their final selections by marking the quality of the application and interview (where applicable), the preparedness for high quality study in the discipline area, and the articulation of how an ISH/UAL Graduate Scholarship will contribute to the applicant’s study goals, personal development and long-term career aims.
Notification: Decisions will be announced after 11th July 2014.
