2014-2015 Carlaw-Ogston Master of Music Postgraduate Scholarships in UK

University of Aberdeen awards music scholarships available for students undertaking a full-time 12 months Master of Music (MMus) beginning in the academic year 14-15. International students can apply for the scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at £2,000. Each scholarship will be dispersed in two equal parts, the first installment of £1,000 at the start of the academic year and the second installment of £1,000 at the start of the second half session. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit and musical talent in any area of music.

Eligibility: Applicants of any fee status are eligible to apply for the scholarships.
Scholarship Open for: International students can apply for these music scholarships.
Number of awards: Two music scholarships will be awarded.
Duration: Scholarships are awarded for a period of one year. Each scholarship will be disbursed in two equal parts, the first installment of £1,000 at the start of the academic year and the second installment of £1,000 at the start of the second half session. The award is received subject to satisfactory progress over the period and an annual review will take place.
Value: Each scholarship is valued at £2,000 for the one year duration of the postgraduate degree.
Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit and musical talent in any area of music (i.e. composition or musicology).
Apply: To apply, please submit a CV, at least one example of your recent work (i.e. composition or essay) and a covering letter with an outline of your intended postgraduate studies via post.
