About the organization
Eamonn Bates Europe is an established independent EU public affairs agency with an impeccable record. We provide public affairs strategy and communications support to our top-flight clients. This includes public affairs strategy, lobbying campaigns and political communications, as well as customised monitoring.
About the internship
A 6-month paid internship will be based in our modern offices right next to the EU institutions at 13-15 Avenue Livingstone, Brussels.
Main tasks:
  • Monitoring and reporting of EU legislative and political developments in various policy areas;
  • Preparing information and advocacy materials in English (and possibly other languages depending on need and language capability);
  • Maintaining the Company’s database of MEPs to support our smartphone App “EP Mobile” and our email product “e-Contacts EP”;
  • Support with social media presence;
  • Assisting the consulting team in several sectors: daily monitoring of specific EU legislation; public relations; lobbying activities.
Qualifications and requirements:
  • Academic background, preferably with a degree in EU politics, EU law or economics;
  • Fluency in English and in another EU language is essential (other languages a distinct asset);
  • Excellent writing and communication skills;
  • Knowledge about the functioning of the EU institutions is a necessity and work experience in the EU institutions is a definite asset;
  • Flexible and ability to multitask;
  • Good analytical skills.
Preferred starting date: As soon as possible
