2014 Edinburgh Global Development Academy Masters Scholarships in UK

University of Edinburgh is offering four masters scholarships for students from less developed countries and UK/EU students. Each scholarship for students from less developed countries cover the overseas rate of tuition fee and two scholarships cover the UK/EU rate of tuition fee only. Applicants must have or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. The application deadline is 11 April 2014.
About Scholarship: The University of Edinburgh will offer 1 Master’s scholarship covering the overseas rate of fee for students from less developed countries and 3 Master’s scholarships covering the “home” rate of tuition fee for UK/EU students for eligible Master’s programmes offered by the University. Each scholarship for students from less developed countries will cover the overseas rate of tuition fee, while a further two scholarships will cover the UK/EU rate of tuition fee only.
Study: Scholarships will be available for students pursuing one of the following Global Development Academy programmes: MSc International Development, MSc Africa and International Development and MSc Environment and Development. Eligibility: -The scholarships covering the overseas rate of fee will be awarded to students who are accepted for admission onto an eligible Global Development Academy programme at the University of Edinburgh.
-The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, a UK first class or 2:1 Honours degree at undergraduate level or the international equivalent.

Scholarship Open for: UK/EU students and students of Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Kribati, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Maldives, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Samoa, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, Somalia, Sudan, Timor-Leste, Togo, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Vanuatu, Yemen, Zambia and Zimbabwe can apply for these masters scholarships.

Notification: A Selection Committee will meet in May 2014 to select the scholarship holders. The winners of the scholarships will be announced shortly thereafter.
