Reach Oxford Scholarship for Undergraduate Students from Developing Countries, UK

The Reach Oxford Scholarship is available for outstanding new students pursuing undergraduate study at the Oxford University. Except medical study, all studies are eligible for this scholarship award. The winner of this scholarship award will be granted University fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses and one return air fare per year.
Description

A number of Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) are offered to students from low income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries.

Award Amount

The scholarship award will cover University fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses and one return air fare per year.

Eligibility and Criteria
  • All candidates should be coming from developing countries
  • New students of undergraduate level
  • Students at medical study program are not eligible
  • This scheme is only suitable for candidates of the highest academic ability who have outstanding examination results. However, financial need and social commitment are also major criteria for selection.
  • Applicants should be intending to return to their country of ordinary residence following their studies

Area of Study
All study programs offered at the undergraduate level are eligible with medicine as an exception.

Application Procedure

Before applying this scholarship award you must have an offer at the university.

Submission Deadline

Around February every year.

  • Scholars will be expected to write an annual report about their academic and social activities, and achievements at the University.
  • Receipt of the award in subsequent years is subject to satisfactory academic progress
  • Applicants should be aware that competition for the scheme is very high and the University does not have additional funding for those candidates who are not offered a scholarship
