2014 PhD Scholarships for UK/EU or International Students at Kent Business School in UK

Kent Business School of University of Kent offers PhD scholarships in the field of marketing, creativity & digital technology and innovation. UK, European or International Students can apply for these scholarships. Applicants should have scored 7.0 in IELT test. As all PhD scholarship students carry out teaching duties there will be no exceptions to this. Three scholarships are offered for three years. All of these scholarships include a stipend at standard UK Research Council rates (£13,590 in 2012-13) plus tuition fees at both home/EU and international levels. 
About Scholarship: Kent Business School invites applications from excellent UK, European or international students for three PhD scholarships with a January 2014 entry. Successful applicants will work with a designated supervisor (either Prof. Soo Hee Lee, Prof. Martin Meyer or Prof. Veronica Wong) on a topic chosen by the supervisor. All of these three-year studentships include a stipend at standard UK Research Council rates (£13,590 in 2012-13) plus tuition fees at both home/EU and international levels. 
Study: These studentships are provided in the field of marketing, creativity & digital technology and innovation offered by Kent Business School in UK.
Course Level: Studentships are available for pursuing PhD degree level at Kent Business School in UK.

Eligibility:  Scholarships will be awarded to the best qualified applicants who show the greatest potential for a successful research career and as teachers. Consequently, successful applicants will normally meet all of the following criteria unless both the research proposal and references are exceptional:
-Distinction at Master’s level in a relevant subject.
-Score of 7.0 in IELT test. As all PhD scholarship students carry out teaching duties there will be no exceptions to this.
(a) For Marketing Studentship: Undergraduate qualification in the sciences, applied sciences, mathematics, engineering or economics and a Masters in management/marketing.
-Numeracy (quantitative) skills as reflected in achievement of a distinction in Maths/Stats at advanced (or equivalent) level. Distinction grades awarded for quantitative subjects at degree level will also be an advantage.
(b) For Creativity and Digital Technology studentship: The successful candidate will have strong research skills in qualitative and quantitative methods and relevant qualifications in design management, human computer interaction, cognitive psychology or a related discipline.
(c) For Innovation Studentship: -Relevant qualification in business & management, social sciences, sciences and engineering. Applicants with a background in information science are also welcome.

Duration: three years 
Value: University of Kent postgraduate scholarships take the form of Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) whereby PhD students receive financial support in return for some part-time teaching. A full GTAs covers tuition fees at the home/EU rate plus a combined salary and maintenance grant of up to the full UK Research Council rate of £13,590 (2011-12 rate). Kent Business School may also fund international tuition fees for selected scholarships.
