UNITEE – Event Management, Public Relations and Communications Internships

UNITEE is a unique organisation in Brussels as it represents, at the EU level, the interests of an “under-represented” group of entrepreneurs and business professionals, namely those with a migrant background.
Created in 2010, UNITEE was founded by 6 national federations and today has 77 business associations with more than 15,000 entrepreneurs and business professionals, located in 23 European countries.
UNITEE's first objective is to raise awareness of our members' unique contributions to Europe's economic growth, which, so far, has been insufficiently acknowledged. The entire organisation chain in the confederation is involved with international relations, lobbying and strategic communication activities. In addition, UNITEE provides a range of services and events that enable our members to have a deeper understanding of their institutional environment, become more efficient and better exploit international trade opportunities.
UNITEE's Internship Programme
UNITEE's internship programme provides a group of students and young professionals the opportunity to work in an enthusiastic and international organization.
At UNITEE, you will find a flexible and non-hierarchical environment, with significant responsibilities and a great freedom of initiative. You will be able to develop your competencies and derive a sense of purpose and accomplishment from your work.
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Duration: 5/6 months
- Starting date: September 2013
- Expenses: UNITEE covers interns’ transport expenses via a contribution of 100 euros/month

Current positions
UNITEE's daily work can be summarized as such: “think like an academic, act like a diplomat and write like a journalist”. This is why we are currently looking for highly motivated and committed students and young professionals specialized in Journalism, Public Relations and Strategic Communications.
In particular, we offer the following internships:
- Event Management Internship: your challenge will be to manage all aspects of our events to ensure that they are well-executed. Your tasks include event management, from beginning to end.
- Policy and Public Relations Internship: you will have the responsibility to monitor developments in UNITEE’s key advocacy areas as well as to develop strategies and tools to better advocate for our members.
- Communications and Social Media Internship: you will have the great challenge of branding the reputation of UNITEE by making use of the modern techniques and tools of communication. In particular, you will be in charge of editing our weekly Newsletter and developing our social media content.
