Internship in Communication and European Affairs – 3 to 6 months

The FEDERATION OF EUROPEAN FILM DIRECTORS (Fédération Européenne des Réalisateurs de l’Audiovisuel) is an advocacy network that represents film directors all over Europe. FERA has members in 28 countries and its headquarters are located in Brussels.
Main tasks
The internship mainly consists of helping the FERA office with external communication, and in researching, drafting and publishing the newsletter.
The concrete tasks of the intern will include:
  • Preparing press cuttings and briefings on European developments in related policy fields
  • Carrying out research and communications projects for FERA
  • Layout of the FERA newsletter
  • Maintaining, regularly updating FERA’s website
  • Maintaining, regularly updating FERA’s social media
  • Maintaining, regularly updating and synchronizing FERA’s electronic and material contact lists (members and external contacts)
  • Covering meetings of the European Parliament (Culture and Education Committee, Legal Committee, Internal Market Committee) either physically or through the EP’s streaming service on the Internet
General administrative duties, ensuring the smooth running of the FERA office.
Qualifications required
Excellent English is compulsory, at proficient or native level. Please do not apply if you do not have this qualification.
A university degree in communications, political or European affairs, or a similar subject is desirable. The internship is extremely appropriate to a candidate studying for a master’s degree.
