SCHOLARSHIPS OF THE MEXICAN GOVERNMENT 2013

Scholarships are offered to study:

- Specialization Studies, Master´s and PhD Degrees;

- Medical Specializations;

- Postgraduate Research;

-Postdoctoral Fellowships;

-Bachelor´s Degree and Postgraduate Mobility;

-Art Production Fellowships;

-High-level Conferences;

-Fellowships for Mexicanologists;

-Media Contributors Fellowships; and

-Fellowships for visiting professors.

Scholarships are granted for one year and up to:

-1 year for Specialization Studies.

-2 years for Master´s Degree.

-3 years for PhD Degree.

-3 years for Medical Specializations and Sub-specializations

-A term from 1 to 12 months for Postgraduate Research and Postdoctoral Fellowships.

-An academic course (three, four or six-month terms) for Bachelor´s Degree and Specialization mobility programs.

WITHOUT FURTHER EXTENSION IN ALL CASES

The scholarship recipient must conclude his/her thesis and take the degree exam during the stated term of the scholarship.

Applicant´s Profile In the selection, preference shall be given to applicants that:

- Choose a program about key issues for their country development.

-Study postgraduate courses not given in their home country.

-Take courses or make research in institutions outside Mexico City.

-Be professors or researchers from public institutions of higher education or from scientific research centers in their country.

-Be public officials entrusted with areas or programs of special interest for their country.

-Were not granted before with a scholarship of the Mexican Government.

Validity term of the Call for Scholarships

a) This call for scholarships will be valid from June 8 to August 31, 2012, and includes the following institutions and programs

b) Special Programs from January 17 to November 30, 2012

All scholarship procedures must be completed by means of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or by the Ministry of Education of the applicant’s home country, and/or by the corresponding local government institute.

Applications must be introduced by such institutions before the Mexican Embassy located in the applicant´s home country or before the participating Embassies.

NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE DIRECTLY RECEIVED FROM THE APPLICANTS.
